Neighborhood Spotlight: Wolf Ranch

Next up in our “Neighborhood Spotlight” series is… WOLF RANCH. Up above Colorado Springs at 6,500 feet in elevation, Wolf Ranch is nestled up in the northeast corner of town and has almost everything you could dream of in a master planned community- parks, running and walking trails, beautiful homes, mountain views and a recreation center. There is even a lake at the town center- yes, a LAKE. You don’t see that too often! There is a reason it has been the winner of the Gazette’s Best of Neighborhood for three years in a row. Let’s dive in and see what makes Wolf Ranch a place that you’ll want to move into.

As you bop along the Powers corridor, you have probably passed the Wolf Ranch sign on the corner of Research Parkway. If you were to venture down the road, you’ll be greeted by Gateway Park, located right near the entrance. If this was your first date with Wolf Ranch, it would definitely make a good first impression! It has the whole package- picnicking, entertainment areas, a pond, a fountain and a waterfall. I mean, come ON. Love at first sight. Of course, Gateway Park is not the only park you’ll encounter. There are several more, each with their own set of special amenities, including playgrounds, fields, gazebos, and basketball courts. With over 300 acres of space, parks and trails, and plans for even more, it may take you a while to explore it all.

As you venture further down the road, eventually you will come upon the Wolf Ranch Recreation Center. This almost 4,000 square foot building is centered on a beautiful 6 acre park setting, and is a perfect spot for, well, recreation! You can relax in this wi-fi hotspot and enjoy your family or enjoy some solitude. With group exercise classes and events year-round, as well as a pool and a splash park, you can really connect with the community and have fun. A membership is available to all Wolf Ranch residents and we think you’ll love taking advantage of that!

We stopped by the Wolf Ranch Recreation Center and spoke to Krista Baptist with Warren Management, the association who manages the HOA in Wolf Ranch. She had so much information for us that made us really excited about this neighborhood! Wolf Ranch has a community council, which runs events just for the neighborhood. And these aren’t just your run of the mill barbecues and ice cream socials (are ice cream socials still a thing?) The Community Council, as well as the HOA, plans summer concerts, workshops and seminars for things like, winterizing your sprinkler systems. So useful! The HOA even organizes bus tours, called “Roadtrips”, where they take Wolf Ranch residents places like the Denver Aquarium, Rockies games, and to Monarch for ski trips! They have one planned for this month to go on a tour of Coors Brewery. Wow! Talk about a community that really cares about its residents.

Located in Academy School District 20, Wolf Ranch has two elementary schools located within the community- Ranch Creek Elementary and the brand new Legacy Peak Elementary. There are plans for Legacy Peak to become a complete K-12 Campus in the future! It's quite the perfect setting for any family in Colorado Springs or looking to move here.

Developed by Nor’wood, Wolf Ranch has plans to grow to more than 7,000 homes (2,000 are already existing). You can find small townhomes or patio homes, medium or large homes- a selection only Goldilocks could be more excited about! Wolf Ranch offers seven different neighborhoods within the community, and ten different home builders. That is a lot of variety, and so many options for the people of Colorado Springs! Some new home builders include Challenger, Classic, Covington, David Weekley, JM Weston, Keller and more. These builders are so talented and create beautiful homes, which makes for quite the stunning neighborhood. With home prices ranging from the 400s to the 600s, this community is a true gem in Colorado Springs.

Wolf Ranch seems to have a vision of “something for everyone”, with homes and amenities for every stage of life. You almost can't go wrong with this choice!
